Ampac acquires Cranford Controls Ltd

With effect from January 2012, Cranford Controls Limited, UK manufacturers of quality Fire and Security products, has joined the Ampac Group of companies.

As part of Ampac’s European operations, Cranford will remain a separate trading entity continuing to support existing customers and actively developing new products and markets. Cranford’s commitment to R&D and new product development will be further enhanced by the Ampac Group. Opportunities will be sought to develop group products, maximise distribution synergies and provide a UK based state of the art production facility.

This acquisition brings together two highly successful independent family run businesses with a common goal towards global growth.

Cranford Controls

Established in 1993 specialises in the design manufacture of sounders, beacons and ancillary devices for the fire, security and process control industries.

Based in a 13,000 sq ft purpose built facility located in Alton Hampshire with convenient connections to London and all main airports.

Accredited to ISO 9001?2008, Cranford offers a wide range of approved product, independently tested to appropriate standards including EN54 by LPCB, VdS and CE marked for compliance with the Construction Products Regulation.

Ampac Europe Ltd

A wholly owned subsidiary of Ampac Technologies Pty Ltd of Perth, Western Australia.

Established in 1974, Ampac designs and manufactures fire detection and alarm control panels and advanced warning systems.

The Ampac head office is based in Balcatta, near Perth, Western Australia with branches in every state, Ampac Pacific in New Zealand and Ampac Europe Ltd in the UK.
