Ampac Exhibits at Security Essen 2012

Security Essen is considered one of the premier expos in Europe, it is the international meeting place for solutions relating to everything to do with civil security. At the 2012 20th global fair for security and fire protection technology, welcomed over 39,000 trade visitors from 115 countries who obtained information from 1,086 exhibitors from 40 nations. 35% of all trade visitors came from overseas demonstrating the truly international appeal of Security Essen.

What marks Security Essen above all other European expos is its focus on technology-driven by the big German companies operating in our fire markets, Esser, Siemens, Wagner, and Bosch.  These companies and many more dominate the exhibition Halls not only with their innovative products but also the size of their booths.

Ampac Europe and Cranford Controls shared a stand for the first time in the UK Fire Village in Hall 3 supported by the BSIA (British Security Industries Association).  Alongside the domestic German fire companies and colleagues from the UK Fire Industry, Ampac and Cranford demonstrated how Alarm Control Panels and Audio Visual Alarm products and accessories can complement each other and jointly broaden opportunities with potential distributors and partners for global export territories.

Of particular note was the quality of the visitor to the Ampac/Cranford booth, senior managers, owners, technical and managing directors willing to spend considerable time in their busy schedules to discuss products and projects.  On day one of the show, we were presented with visitors from Bahrain, Brazil, and the Baltic’s, and on further days we meet with representatives from Belgium, the Netherlands, UAE, Turkey, and Croatia many of which returned on subsequent days to extend and have further discussions. The level of quality enquires and new partnership opportunities from OEM partners and distribution customers further demonstrate the market interest in products and solutions from independent companies who can offer manufacturing, design capabilities, and proven distribution networks to the industry.

Attending the Essen show has demonstrated that the industry is undergoing a level of change where unique and innovative solutions and products and a flexible approach to business is pivotal to business growth in such an important market sector such as critical life safety. The Ampac and Cranford team have listened carefully to customer feedback and requirements from this show and the industry in general and have embarked on a business approach to meet and exceed customer expectations for future business. This feedback further enforces the need for industry-specific shows such as Security Essen where both customers and suppliers can come together to showcase products and listen to customers and end-users requirements and needs.
