New Ampac Interface Devices

Ampac offer an extensive range of addressable Interface Devices which have a new uniform sleek design for ease of installation and commissioning. Designed for the monitoring and controlling of many types of essential plant equipment, the Interface Devices enable fire protection solutions to be engineered simply and effectively without the need for specialist enclosures.

 

A new range of Interface Devices has been designed to support the existing range of addressable control panels, detectors and audible visual devices, manufactured and or supplied through Ampac Technologies. The new devices have been designed to provide Ampac with a common, cost effective product range.There are a total of 10 new products within the range which will replace the existing SID, SIOD, 3ID, 3IOD and ZID devices.

 

As with the existing product, the new product will be available in two versions, an enclosed wall mount version will be offered alongside a 35mm DIN mount version. The DIN version can also be mounted
direct to a back pan, negating the requirement for a rail to be used.

Application

Full complement of interface devices offered to cater for most applications within the fire industry including:

  • Fire Fans and Dampers;
  • Lifts and Door Contacts;
  • Sprinkler Systems;
  • Beam Detection;
  • Aspirating Systems;
  • HVAC Systems;
  • Tank Status;
  • Gas Valves

The Ampac I/O Range consists of:

  • Single Input Output Device
  • Single Input Device
  • Three Input Output Device
  • Three Input Device
  • Zone Input Device

Two mechanical variants of each of the above:

  • Enclosed Wall Mount
  • 35mm DIN Mount or Direct Panel Mount

All devices are Loop Powered and incorporate Detection Loop short circuit isolation. Low power consumption on the detection loop is maintained due to use of a one shot latching relay. On board diagnostic LEDs can be disabled to save additional loop currents when used on critical sensitive installations.
