Ognisko Polskie Club

Fuego Specialised Systems based in South Croydon, Surrey, is an established fire systems integrator founded in 2001. They recently completed fire alarm system works at the world-renowned Ognisko Polskie Club in London’s West End.

• About: Ognisko Polskie is a Members’ Club and an important part of Polish social and cultural life. Polish traditions remain at the heart of the Club, as they have been since it was opened in 1939, following the outbreak of the Second World War. Established with the combined support of the British and Polish Governments, it was inaugurated in 1940 by the Parents of our Patron HRH The Duke of Kent and to this day his family continue to support the Club. Located in South Kensington in one of the elegant Victorian townhouses on Exhibition Road, “Ognisko” has an acclaimed Polish restaurant that combines authentic cuisine with beautiful surroundings and a regular and varied programme of events for Members and their guests.

• Design and Consultation Support: Ampac went beyond providing hardware solutions by offering invaluable design and consultation support. The team worked closely with Fuego Specialised Systems to ensure that the chosen fire safety solutions were aligned with the project's unique requirements & deadlines.

The Challenge

Ognisko Polskie Club required additional works to the existing Fire Systems to bring them up to current standards, however one area of the building was proving problematic with its decorative & architectural design, installation of traditional cabled system was out of the question.

The Solution
