Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is a luxurious 5-star hotel featuring 296 rooms and suites, located at the heart of Broadbeach on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
The hotel offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and hinterland. Sofitel Broadbeach is also known for its upscale amenities, that include outdoor pools, a fitness center, a spa, and tennis courts.
The Challenge
A major challenge for the project was replacing a legacy (not complaint with current standards) fire indicator panel, emergency warning system and detection.
Additionally, there was a need for a high-level interface (HLI) for Sofitel’s Building Management System (BMS).
The Solution
Ampac supplied combined FireFinder PLUS and EvacUElite panels, detection devices, and all necessary interfaces.
EvacUElite supports a high-level interface with FireFinder PLUS, allowing for a fully customizable system tailored to the specific needs of the site, making it ideal for Sofitel.
FireFinder PLUS is an Intelligent Analogue Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panel, fully compliant to Australian Standards, AS 7240-2, AS 7240-4 and AS 4428-3:2010.
EvacUElite is Ampac’s new fully compliant Emergency Warning and Intercom System, fully compliant with Australian Standards, AS4428.16:2020 Grade 1, AS 4428.4:2016, and AS7240.4:2018.
Technical support assisted the customer in configuring both the fire indicator panel and the emergency warning system.
